APC chieftain, Ben Adaji decamps to NNPP with thousands of supporters in Kogi

A former Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Chief Ben Adaji, along with over 5000 of his supporters, on Thursday decamped to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
The supporters were drawned from both the APC and PDP in the area.
The ceremony which took place at the NNPP local government Secretariat at Okpo, Olamaboro local government area of Kogi state was witnessed by a large crowd of supporters from various electoral wards of the area.
The North Central Zonal Vice Chairman, Alhaji Muhammed Abdullahi (aka) Elephant while receiving the decapees said he was overwhelmed with joy to receive such a large crowd decamping from other political parties to the newly formed NNPP.
“With what is happening today, it is evident that NNPP remains the only alternative to APC and PDP not only in Kogi State but across the Country.
He said the party will live upto her ideology which is justice and fairness, adding that the guiding principle of the party is to ensure fairness to all which was lacking in the APC and PDP.
The Zonal Vice Chairman commended Chief Adaji and his supporters for choosing the NNPP as a better option to deliver his supporters from many years of misrule.
Alhaji Abdulllahi further disclosed that the party will soon receive millions of decampee from all over the states of the country because, according to him, the electorates were tired of deceit and injustice of the other major political parties that led the country in previous years.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Ben Adaji, a two-time aspirant for House of Representatives for Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala Federal Constituency in kogi state said he dumped the ruling APC because of lack of justice and fairness in the party.
“I was the one who brought APC to Olamaboro, I used my personal resources to fund the party when those who hijacked the party today were in PDP.
“I aspired for for House of Representatives twice but very unpopular candidates were forcefully imposed on us ” he lamented.
According to Alhaji some opponents who see themselves as demi-gods have hijacked and turned the party to their personal estate.
He added that he was left with no other option than to dump the party and join the NNPP.
Apex News Exclusive reports that Adaji used the occasion to declare his intention to contest for House of Representatives for Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala Federal Constituency.
The event witnessed the burning of large size of brooms, a symbol of the ruling party at both the state and national levels by the decapee to signify the death of APC in the area.
