The Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government (SSG), Dr Labaran Magaji, has called on the people of the state to take advantage of the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration to become the leading state in the exercise in the Northern Central Zone.

Magaji made the call on Tuesday in Lafia while receiving a group under the umbrella of the Tiv Renewed Hope Grassroots Mobilisation Movement.

According to the Secretary to the State Government, the population of APC and its supporters in Nasarawa state is huge; therefore, the party’s registration must be commensurate with the population.

“All of you are renewed hope ambassadors, so I want to assure you that this job is not for me alone. We have to emphasize two things: one, educate our people on the need to go for e-registration of the party. which is very important.

“I take my time to talk on this e-registration because of its importance, looking at the achievement of President Tinubu and the APC, you will see that nobody needs to be told what we have been able to achieve,” he said.

He commended President Bola Tinubu and Gov Abdullahi Sule for enthroning good governance which translated to massive infrastructural development and economic benefits to the people of Nasarawa state.

“And all of this is credit to Mr. President, Bola Tinubu. If he had not released these monies to us, would we have achieved it? And thank God we have a governor who is also steadfast.

“The state Secretariat we are seated today, and the dualised Shendam Road you follow to this office was not available two years ago, the Lafia flyover and underpass weren’t here two years ago. It is good governance. And this good governance comes from the top – down,” he said.

Magaji, while thanking the group for the visit, assured the group that they would be incorporated alongside other support groups into the Renewed Hope of Mr President when fully taken off in the state.

“I want to thank you sincerely for the visit. You came to add value to the assignment that is given to me, and you also came to get information that will enhance the prospect of our party in the state.

” I have listened to your request for mobility and other logistics, at this stage, it is too early for any commitment to be made in that respect because even as it is now, the state is yet to be clear as to the structure of the Renewed Hope in all the states,” he stated.

Earlier speaking, Mr Solomon Chunku, State Chairman of Tiv Renewed Hope Grassroot Mobilisation Movement, said the group, having seen the good work of President Tinubu under his Renewed Hope Agenda and the Industrialisation of the legacy of Gov Sule, came to seek partnership.

He said that the group has started working to deliver the vote of the Tiv people from across the 13 local governments of Nasarawa state to President Tinubu and the APC in the next general elections in the state.

“We have seen the good governance, we have tasted, and we have believed that is why we, the like-minded progressives, have come together under this umbrella to say that the good must continue beyond 2027,” he said.

The climax of the visit is the prestigious award “The Pillar of Tiv Renewed Hope given to the SSG, Dr Labaran Magaji, and he was also made the Grand Patron of Tiv Renewed Hope Grassroot Mobilisation Movement.
