The Adamawa State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says it faulted its gubernatorial candidate, Senator Aishatu Ahmed Dahiru Binani, for the loss at 2023 governorship poll which the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri emerged.

The party revealed this during a meeting at the party secretariat in Yola, over what was behind the party lost the last governorship election and the  bye-election.

The APC noted that, the PDP governor won the election on a platter of gold following Binani’s laxity and wisdom to work with the party structure and allowed peace to reign.

The party however condemned Binani attitude of high-handedness, pompous and indiscipline, accusing her of dumping all the APC officials from the ward, local government, and state levels during her campaigns, even at elections period.

The party claimed its governorship candidate brought disgrace to the party and disunity among members  in the state.

The party officials expressed displeasure and concluded that Binani injured the party by instigating and accepting the unconstitutional declaration of Yunusa Ari Hudu.

The APC condemned Hudu’s act and regarded it as anti-democracy and unconstitutional behaviour that was morally and criminally indicted him and all his accomplices.

Shortly after the meeting, the Chairman of the party, Idris Shuaibu, said the party’s leadership unanimously stated that their candidate was fighting both the high and the lowly of the party which was a weakness not expected from a good leader.
