A high powered delegation from the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commiserated with Katsina State Governor Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda over the passing of his mother Hajiya Safara’u.
The delegation was led by the National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and other key officials of the party.
Dr. Ganduje said they were at Government House house to register the party’s condolence over the death of Hajia Safara’u who died when they were at the holy land.
Dr Ganduje said they had earlier performed special prayers for the repose of her soul at the holy land, but deemed it necessary to come down to Katsina to commiserate with the governor, his immediate family and the people of Katsina State over the great loss, saying that the death is a national loss.
He then prayed Allah to forgive her shortcomings and give the family the courage to bear the irreparable loss.
Responding on behalf of the State Governor, the Deputy Governor Mallam Faruk Lawal Jobe recalled that a number of governors from across the country came to Katsina with their families to pay their condolences.
He then thanked the National leadership of the party for the visit.
Also in company of the party’s national chairman include the state executives of the party led by the state chairman Alhaji Sani Aliyu Daura.
At the Government House to receive the APC national leadership include Speaker State House of Assembly, Nasir Yahya Daura and some members of the state executive council.
