The nominee for Commissioner, Federal Character Commission representing Plateau State Hon. Pam Bot-Mang on Tuesday paid a visit to the former Governor of Plateau State and Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Simon Lalong at his Abuja residence.
Hon. Pam Bot-Mang who was led by the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshewe said his visit was to appreciate the role and contributions of Lalong to his appointment as Commissioner Federal Character Commission.
This was contained in a statement by Dr. Makut Simon Macham, Special Adviser Media to Senator Lalong.
He described Senator Lalong as a leader, mentor and father who has continued to look out for the interests of Plateau State and also shown tremendous desire to promote the growth of younger politicians within the ranks of the party.
Senator Lalong expressed delight on the visit and said the glory goes to God and to President Bola Tinubu for finding him worthy to be appointed for national service.
He urged him to remain humble, committed, honest and dedicated to the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu while working to improve the fortunes of the APC in Plateau State and Nigeria at large.
Lalong said with the emergence of Prof. Nentawe as National Chairman of the APC, appointments such as that of Hon. Bot-Mang will further provide more impetus for the party to deepen its fortunes in the State and beyond.
The APC National Chairman also congratulated Hon. Pam Bot-Mang and said he was confident that he will deliver.
