APC, SDP kick as INEC declares Emir’s son winner of Jalingo/Yorro/ Zing Federal Constituency seat in Taraba

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and Social Democratic Party (SDP) have expressed dismay over INEC declaration of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate and son to Emir of Muri, Engr. Sadiq Abbas Tafida as winner for Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency of House of Representatives seat.
On the supplementary rerun election held on Wednesday in the affected 24 pulling units of the constituency, INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Olarewaju Philip while declaring the result in Jalingo on Thursday said the PDP scored highest number of 19,681 votes to defeat its rival SDP who scored 16,379 while APC and New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) scored 12,662 and 3,646 votes respectively.
Speaking to newsmen in Jalingo, State chairman of APC, Barr. Ibrahim El-Sudi faulted the entire process and accused the PDP of conniving with INEC.
