APC women leader congratulates Tumsah on appointment by President Tinubu as MD Chad Basin Development Authority

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Tijjani Musa Tumsah as the new Managing Director Chad Basin Development Authority (CBDA) under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.

The appointment announced in a statement on Wednesday by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga are part of the President’s efforts to bolster the efficiency of the organization.

Tumsah was former Vice Chairman, Presidential Committee on North East Initiatives (PCNI) and pioneer National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The President Tinubu expect Tumsah to use his wealth of experience to bolster the efficiency of the organisation, in line with the administration’s commitment to bettering the lives of citizens.

In her congratulatory message, Yobe South APC Zonal Women Leader, Hajiya Gwamnaty Mairiga Umar, described Tumsah as hard working expressing confidence that his appointment will bring positive change to the region.

She emphasized the critical role of the CBDA in managing natural resources and fostering development, and expressed hope that Tumsah’s leadership will focus on sustainable growth, job creation, and empowerment of women and youth.

Mairiga also assured Tumsah of the continued support of the Zonal Women in his efforts to drive progress in the region.
