Ukkasha Hamza Rahama, Chairman, APC Progressive Youths Forum

A political pressure group within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Youths Progressive Forum (APYF), Borno state chapter has commended the decision reached at the National Executive Council of the party, under the able and dynamic leadership of Mai Mala Buni, National Chairman, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planing Committee (CECPC) and Yobe State Governor for zoning the position of National Chairman to the North Central.
Chairman of the Forum, Ukkasha Hamza Rahama while addressing journalists in Maiduguri on Sunday opined that, “We cannot be as mighty as we are today without grievances and intricacies though they are the bridges that measures our success and determine our weaknesses” .
According to the text of the Conference copies of which was made available to Journalists in Bauchi, Ukkasha Rahama added that, “It is on the light of the above that, I wish to Congratulate our party on the successful conduct of congresses from ward, local government and States level” .
According to him, “Nigerians, most especially the Members of our great party are anticipating high with their ears widely opened not for the convention date and venue but who may emerge after remain a subject of great concerns” .
“We are glad that in all the States and the party Stakeholders consulted so far, Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura remain the only viable option to remodel and take the rulling APC to winning ways once again”, he said.
The AYPF added that, “The National Convention will be a great opportunity for us to strengthen our bones and institutionalize internal democracy processes as a panacea of rebuilding the party towards the phase of Nigerian 2023 anticipated National elections” .
He said that before the National convention, it is a tradition that aspirants would first declare interest vying for one seat or the other, zoned or micro zoned to their respective constituency.
He however said that, “Senator Umar Tanko Almakura having been one of the nation’s respected nationalist alive, is coming at the time the rulling party needs him most because of his long good track records in Governance as a former Governor and now Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
He assured that, “Nigerians as a whole and the rulling APC in particular, would witness a tremendous and a dynamic change for positive and accelerated political development if he emerged the National Chairman. Senator Almakura is bonified Democrat” .
Ukkasha Rahama stressed that, “His wealth of experience in Politics and Governance in Nigeria earned him the Status of a Political General as many called him in his State of Nasarawa and the nation as a whole” .
According to him, “Life is the best teacher and it is no doubt that Almakura’s Journey to greatness has thought him countless lessons that pages cannot contain. He was Youth leader of NPN, a former Secretary of NRC, a founding Member of APC from the merger level through CPC as a Serving Governor of Nassarawa State”.
“His courageous stand to propagate the needs to support the emergence of the new era of leadership in Nigeria led by President Muhammadu Buhari is the reason why currently he remains the only option to revive the rulling All Progressive Congress after our National Convention”, he added.
The Chairman said that, “The wisdom behind Senator Almakura’s aspiration is to ensure cohesion and unity of the party as well as safeguarding the tenets and the legacies of President Muhammadu Buhari administration so also ensuring the values of the party are kept alive” .
He said that Tanko Almakura was part of the merger as the only surviving Governor from the opposition Congress for Progressive Change which means that he knows the history, the problems and the Solutions that will further sustain the gains and secure the future of the rulling All Progressive Congress ahead of the nation General elections in 2023.
He assured that, “APC under his watch will be Committed in building harmony, Peace and Unity of Nigeria been a detribilized Politician that gave it all Democracy to strive. As members of the APC Youths Progressive Forum, Borno State Chapter, We are making this Declaration today before the Press knowing fully that Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura has all it takes to revive the rulling APC if elected National Chairman”.
The APYF concluded that, “We shall by this note, want to appeal to the Party delegates and the critical Stakeholders to ensure that our party get the best on February 26th and the best is the Former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura. It has been said that only God is perfect but he is an Excellent Politician to redeem the image of the rulling party Insha’Allah”.
