A member of All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) Board of Trustees, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka has commended Governor Willie Obiano and security agencies for ensuring a crime free Christmas season in the state.

In a press released issued at Oba and made available to newsmen, he said Governor Obiano has remained a great achiever in ensuring adequate security of lives and property in the State.

While praising the Police for doing a good job during the Yuletide, Chief Ezeonwuka called on President Muhammadu to appoint the Policemen of Igbo extraction who were promoted recently into positions they deserve, stressing that Ndigbo deserve to produce Commissioner of Police in at least seven States across the federation.

The APGA BOT member also hailed rice farmers in Anambra in particular and Nigeria in general for availability of rice during the Christmas season noting that the closure of borders did not affect the availability of rice during the season.

Commenting on political development of the State, he expressed his optimism for APGA to retain the governorship seat of Anambra by winning the 2021 governorship election because according to him, APGA remains the best for good governance in the State.

Chief Ezeonwuka urged Ohaneze Ndigbo to continue to fight for the Igbo interest in Nigeria and never relent in making sure that the South-East geopolitical zone derives its fair share of the National cake.

The APGA BOT member asked Ohaneze Ndigbo to sustain case for the completion of the second Niger Bridge at the time set for it, and rehabilitation of Federal roads in the zone without further delay.

He also stressed the need to connect the commercial city of Onitsha with functional waterways and rail lines to safeguard the roads from being damaged by heavy duty trucks.
