Armed Forces Remembrance Day: Adamawa Governor, Fintiri lays wreath in honour of fallen heroes

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State Wednesday at the Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola has led dignitaries in the state to laying of wreaths in honor of the fallen heroes as twenty twenty Armed Forces Remembrance Day is marked.
The dignitaries that also laid the wreaths include the Commander 23 Armoured Brigade, Yola, Brigadier General Sani Mohammed and Commander 705 Base Service Group, Air Commodore Yusuf.

Governor Fintiri is led to inspect a guard of honour
Others were the State Commissioner of Police Audu Adamu Madaki and representatives of the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Alhaji Aminu Iya Abbas and Lamido Adamawa Doctor Muhammdu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa.
The rests were the State Chairman of the Nigeria Legion Alhaji Bashir Babayola and representative of the widows of the Fallen Heroes of the Nigeria Armed Forces.
Governor Fintiri had on arrival at the venue of the event inspected a guard of honor mounted by members of the Nigeria Armed Forces in commemoration of the day celebrated across the country.
Highlight of the event was firing of three gun salute in honor of the fallen heroes and releasing of pigeons by Governor Umaru Fintiri signifying peace.

Armed Forces Remembrance Day is celebrated annually on fifteen of January to honor gallant members of the Nigeria Armed Forces who died in the line of duty and those who are still serving at various peace operations nationally and internationally.
