The kidnap suspects

Troops of 6 Brigade Garrison Nigerian Army on Anti-kidnapping Patrol in Jalingo Taraba State capital have captured two kidnappers and rescued two victims around CBN area in the early hours of Sunday, November 26, 2023.
The swift response of the Army on credible information on terrorist’s hideout in the state capital led to the capture of Awwal Bobbo 32 years and Sallau Abdul 33 while some of the kidnappers escaped but the army promised to arrest them soon.
The Army also successfully rescued two kidnap victims, Mrs Fauziyya Yusuf and Mr Abdulsallam Abubakar.
One of the rescued victims, Abubakar has already been re-united with his family while Mrs. Fauziyya is currently receiving necessary medical attention and support to ensure her physical and emotional well-being before being handed over to her family.
The Commander 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Frank Etim commended the timely response of the troop and charged them not to relent in ensuring peace and safety of the citizens.
He equally enjoined the citizens to cooperate and support the security agencies with timely security information to enhance troops’ prompt response to security issues.
