Assistant Inspector-General of Police urges personnel to build trust in system

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 6 Calabar, Jonathan Towuru  has called on personnel of the Nigeria Police Force to build trust and confidence in the institution of policing.

In a statement signed by the PPRO for Zone six, SP Nelson A. Okpabi has also urged them to ensure strict supervision of subordinates and push for community integration  through outreach.

He also charged senior police officers in the zone to exhibit high level of discipline and professionalism in the course of their official work.

He made the charge when he decorated two newly promoted Assistant Commissioners of Police with their new ranks in Calabar.

The newly decorated Officers are the  ACP Jacob Egede, the Divisional Police Officer, Etung – Cross River Command and ACP Jerkins Ukaga who is the Medical doctor in-charge of Police Medical Services in Cross River State.

Represented by Commissioner of Police in Cross River State, Gyogon Augustine Grimah, Towuru explained that the promotion was in line with the Force Manpower Development Policy aimed at boosting the morale of Police personnel for effective service delivery.

He said the promotion is to identify, elevate and position deserving officers professionally.

He congratulated the officers for the well deserved promotion which he said is the reward for hard work. 

The decorated Officers expressed their appreciation to the Inspector – General of Police IGP Kayode Egbetokun,  the Police Service Commission, the AIG and the Cross River Command CP for finding them worthy for the promotion and pledged to rejig on the performance of their duties to justify the confidence reposed in  them.
