Assistant Inspector General of Police urges personnel to build up public trust, exhibit professionalism

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in Zone Six, Jonathan Towuru had charged personnel of the Nigeria Police Force to live above board, exhibit professionalism and endeavour to build public trust.
He spoke when he decorated two newly promoted senior Police officers from Cross River Police Command with their new ranks.
He urged them to exhibit high level of discipline and ensure strict supervision of subordinates.
Towuru called on the personnel to push for community integration through outreach to build trust and confidence in the system and institution of policing.
According to the AIG, the two officers earned their promotion, which he said is the reward for hard work.
He explained that the promotion was in line with the Force Manpower Development Policy aimed at boosting the morale of Police personnel for effective service delivery by identifying.
The AIG was assisted to decorate the senior officers by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Gyogon Augustine Grimah and members of the Zonal and Cross River Command Management teams.
The newly decorated Officers are the DCP Kabir Ibrahim, former ACP. Department of Operations Cross River State and ACP Godwin Oko Onah former Divisional Police Officer, EPZ, Calabar, Cross River State.
The decorated Officers expressed their appreciation to the Inspector – General of Police IGP Kayode Egbetokun and the Police Service Commission for finding them worthy for the promotion.
They pledged to rejig on the performance of their duties to justify the confidence reposed in them.
