The Police Station

To assist government and security agencies in providing water-tight security to Ndi-Anambra, the people of Azia community in Ihiala Local government area, have built and donated a brand new Divisional Police Station to the Nigerian Police Force.
The new Divisional Police Station, funded under the Anambra State Government Community-Choose-Your-Project Initiative, has many office accommodations, as well as modern facilities.
While commissioning the new Divisional Police Station, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr. John Abang thanked the Inspector-General of Police, IGP for approving the establishment of the station, even as he charged men of the Nigerian police force to always respect human rights in their operations.

He reminding them that social media has made it possible for citizens to monitor and report activities of the police to appropriate authorities.
While thanking the Azia community for assisting the state government and security agencies in providing adequate security to Ndi-Anambra.
CP Abang urged police officers in the area to show more commitment in maintaining law and order, describing Anambra State as a home for peaceful and industrious citizens.
In his address, the Divisional Police Officer in the area, CSP Bawa Abdu Sale, said neighborhood and community policing initiatives of CP Abang has been yielding great results for the Command and people of the State.
In their separate remarks, the President-General-Elect of Azia General Assembly, Dr. Tonna Nwabueze and his predecessor, Mr. Kenneth Maduakor while thanking the State government for making fund available for the project, described Azia community as police-friendly, thanking the State Commissioner of Police for supporting the Division with a brand new operational vehicle.
CP Abang who commissioned the project also inspected the office accommodations and facilities in the building.
