A gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi, Alhaji Mahmoud Maijama’a has called on members of the party in the state to come together and form a formidable platform to clench power comes 2023 general elections. who is also a traditional title holder as Dallatun Bauchi,
Maijama’a, a former Commissioner of finance and Secretary to the State Government (SSG), told journalists in Bauchi Wednesday that with the successful inauguration of Aliyu Babayo Misau as chairman of the party in the state, all members should rally round him for the success of the party at the polls.
The former SSG, who also holds the traditional title of Dallatun Bauchi, stressed the need for members aspiring for elective offices in the forthcoming elections to support the party ahead of the envisioned successful conduct of party primaries.
Maijama’a also urged party faithful to bury all forms of acrimonies for the sake of future of the party, saying that APC in Bauchi state cannot continue to play a second fiddle, with the leadership crisis that rocked the party is now a thing of the past.
He congratulated Babayo Aliyu Misau on his successful inauguration as chairman, and commended the National Caretaker Committee under the impressive watchful eyes of Governor Mai Mala Buni for the steps it has taken to end the rift within the APC in Bauchi state.
Dallatun Bauchi lauded the leader of the party in the state, Mallam Adamu Adamu who is the Minister of Education for tirelessly working to keep the APC in the state as one family, expressing optimism that better days are ahead for the Bauchi APC to reclaim its rightful mandate from the PDP.
“With this development, we now need to move on by nipping in the bud our individual differences for the collective interest of the party. I respect and commend the national executives for a job well done, our leader the Minister of education, and immediate past speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara for providing the rightful and much needed leadership of the party in the state”.
Alhaji Mahmoud Maijama’a prayed for success , peace and unity at the end of the National Convention of the APC scheduled for February 26, 2022.
