In Bauchi State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) which is in the opposition having lost the 2019 gubernatorial election to the PDP, has concluded all arrangements to have a hitch-free state congress.
Caretaker Committee Chairman of the APC, Uba Ahmed Nana told our Correspondent that, “we have put in place every logistics required for a successful state congress. We are just putting finishing touches on the preparations”.
Uba Nana added that, on its part, his Caretaker Committee has put in place a level playing ground as all the contestants were allowed space to go round the state to canvas for votes from the delegates expressing satisfaction with the process so far.
He said that, “you are in Bauchi and I am sure you are following the process right from the wards congresses and you will agree with me that, things have been peaceful, there has not been any serious issues with the process apart from a few dissent which is normal but we have been able to maintain the political peace”.
He appealed to the contestants to be loyal party members by accepting the results in good faith stressing that in every contest, there must be a winner and a loser saying that the party will come out stronger at the end of the process,
Uba Nana then assured the entire membership of the APC in the state to work together in harmony in order to be able to wrestle the state back from the hands of the PDP saying that, “We have learnt our lessons and now ready to work together for victory”.
