Bauchi APC supports nomination of Tuggar as Minister, hails President Tinubu

Bauchi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has hailed the nomination of Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar as a Minister by President Bola Tinubu.
The APC through its Publicity Secretary, Adamu Jalla Gamawa described the nomination as the best thing to have happened to the party in Bauchi State considering the political mastery of the nominee.
He said that the APC as it is now in the state, needs a bridge builder, someone who can hold the party structure together and ensure that even without a sitting Governor, the party remains a formidable opposition.
Gamawa was speaking on Sunday when political associates of Ambassador Tuggar gathered at the office of the Maitama Tuggar Foundation in Bauchi to appreciate President Tinubu for nominating their political leader.
The APC spokesperson assured that the party will always support the nominee to ensure that he gave the party the best leadership it deserves as an opposition in the state calling on the members to support the nominee to enable him succeed.
Also speaking, the head of the Maitama Tuggar Foundation, Alhaji Bello Mohammed Tukura described the nomination of Ambassador Tuggar as not surprising considering his contribution to the survival of the APC in Bauchi State in the past 4 years.
He assured that Tuggar has remained consistent in his support to the APC since its formation being one of the founding members who merged from the defunct CPC.
He stressed that even when he was serving as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, he was always in touch with Bauchi State APC in order to know what was going on adding that he contributed emmensely towards to the 2023 General elections in the state.
Tukura added that through his various empowerment programmes, Tuggar has impacted positively on the lives of many people especially women who have been empowered with skills and supported with capitals to start little businesses.
Earlier, some of the political associates of Ambassador Tuggar expressed optimism that their political leader will not be like previous Ministers who deserted the APC members throughout their respective tenure in office.
They unanimously agreed that considering what he did when he was an Ambassador far away from Bauchi, he was able to make his political presence felt, he will do more and better now that he will be in the country.
