Bauchi Assembly laments death of former President Buhari at time his wisdom, experience, integrity most needed

Bauchi State House of Assembly, through its Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman, has lamented that the death of immediate past Nigeria’s President, late Muhammadu Buhari, came at a time when his wisdom, experience, and integrity were greatly needed by the country.

The Assembly therefore described his passing as a monumental loss to the nation and to emerging leaders across the country.

In a condolence message issued by Spokesperson to the Speaker, Mukhtar Garba Kobi, on Tuesday, the Speaker, on behalf of the Assembly, praised the late President for dedicating his life to the upliftment of Nigeria and Nigerians.

He stressed that the late President worked tirelessly to free citizens from the shackles that hindered national development and urged that the Muhammadu Buhari’s enduring legacies be preserved and upheld.

The Speaker also credited late Muhammadu Buhari with impactful economic policies, noting that many Nigerians benefited from empowerment programmes that helped expand small businesses, drive technological innovation, and improve government revenue.

According to him, “Late President Muhammadu Buhari’s deep sense of patriotism should serve as a model for leaders committed to transforming the lives of the people.”

On behalf of the honourable members and staff of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, the Speaker extended heartfelt condolences to the late president’s family, friends, and associates, praying to Almighty Allah for comfort and mercy upon his soul.

In the same vein, Bauchi State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed deepest condolences over the death of former late President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a condolence message signed by Alh. Muhammad A. Hassan Tilde,
State Chairman titled: A Giant General Falls: Bauchi State APC Mourns the passing of President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR), the party stated that, “Indeed, to Allah belongs what He has taken, to Him belongs what He has given, and everything has an appointed time with Him.”

According to the statement, “Today, our hearts are heavy with grief as we bid farewell to a charismatic
leader, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR), the immediate past
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

“We remember President Buhari as a champion of democracy, a patriot, Darling of Talakawa and a leader who fought to keep Nigeria one and worked tirelessly to stabilize our nation and secure our future,” The APC added.

The party further stated that, “His legacy will forever be etched in our collective memory. On behalf of Bauchi State APC leadership, Stakeholders and the entire
members, I wish to extend our thoughts and prayers to the Buhari family, friends, and all Nigerians who have lost a dedicated leader.”

It prayed,”May Allah comfort
you, compensate your loss and forgive your deceased loved one. And may Allah (SWT) admit Buhari into Jannati Ádnin, underneath which rivers flow, wherein he will abide forever.”
