Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Y Suleiman has congratulated the Ningi famous football club, Danyaya FC and all football loving people of Ningi LGA for winning this year’s Governor’s Cup after a 2:0 win victory against Misau United at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, on Sunday.
The Speaker said that he was extremely thrilled with the bravery and performance of the unbeatable Danyaya FC throughout the competition which saw them through the finals and subsequent victory which made them the champions of Bauchi State.
Abubakar Y Suleiman who a is renown football enthusiast added that the football club has further proven the status of Ningi in term of bravery, versatility and indomitablity in war, football, economy and all aspects of human endeavour.
According to him, “Though I was unavoidably absent at the venue of the because I was on transit to Abuja, my mind was completely at the Stadium and I followed the match minute by minute” .
He also said that, “The players play brilliantly like the late Nigeria’s famous warrior Danyaya of Ningi whose the club was named after, in the battle ground in which he fought from all sides conquering towns and villages” .
“Danyaya FC dominated the entire match with highest percentage of possessions, passes shots, name it. In fact Misau United were relegated to onlookers, playing loosely after succumbing to the fire power of the Danyaya warriors”, he added.
The Speaker who described the club as combination of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona of this world, urged them to maintain the high winning sprit and bravery so as to take over the Nigeria’s football landscape.
He added that football is one of the world’s test of power and source of unity and brotherhood among people, thus he will continue to offer support to all sporting activities in his Constituency and the State in general.
Danyaya FC showed no respect to Misau United as Dada scored the first goal on four minutes after a powerful shot which put the Danyaya FC on top at the 1st Half of the Final.
During the 2nd Half, Danyaya FC wearing the new jerseys and other sports kits donated to them by the Speaker looked more spirited and motivated as at 78 minutes Khamisu Babatop wearing jersey number 10 skillfully scored the second goal in a Messi like style.
The Seemingly demoralized Misau United tried to penetrate at the last minutes but were blocked and thrashed down by the fire power of the Ningi Messis.
It could have been bigger than 2:0 as the Ningi warriors tried from all angles shooting on target to increase the margin but the final whistle ended it all which signalled the emergence of Danyaya FC as champions of Bauchi State.
