Pascal Patrick ousted as Bauchi FA chair

All is not well with the Bauchi State Football Association, as four board members of the association have passed a vote of no confidence on the chairman Mr. Paschal Patrick.
Addressing sports Journalists at the Bauchi NUJ Secretariat , the spokesperson of the
board members, Usman Abass Shehu disclosed that the board members have passed vote of no confidence on its chairman Patrick Paschal and he has been removed as Chairman.
He explained that the removal of Pascal Patrick as Chairman was necessitated by the flagrant abuse of office which violate Article 17 (1), Article 31 (1-2), Article 20 (5) and Article 3 (1-3) of the statutes for Bauchi State Football Association .
The spokes Man, said ” Article 17(1) of the Statute stated that constituting local football council across the state must be recognised and approved by the state executive committe . The chairman in violation of the said single handedly without the consent of the board members constituted a so called local football council, which we consider null and void and with no effect what so ever”.
“Also Article 31(1-2) stated that,the State Ordinary General Assembly Shall be held every year and the state executive committee shall fix the place and date. The numbers Shall be notify in writing at least 7 days in advance. But from records there was no day since our election almost 3years now Pascal Patrick as then chairman has not called for one meeting as stipulated by law” Abbas said.
Abbas added that “The Chairman of the Bauchi state football Association is running a unilateral government, making decisions affecting the state Football Association without recourse to the opinion, views, responsibilities, rights and positions of other Board Members. This is contrary to Article 3 (1) (2) and (3) of the Statutes”.
Following series of allegations against the chairman and his refusal to respond to three letters sent to him to call for exco meeting, four Board members out of five passed a ‘Vote of no Confidence’ on the Chairman of the Association, Patrick Paschal.
The Four Board members led by Usman Abass Shehu, said they have removed Paschal Patrick, as Chairman and indorsed the 1st Vice Chairman, Adamu Umar Madachi as Acting Chairman pending the time of election.
The Four Board members indicted Patrick Paschal of “high headedness, exclusion and breaching of many provisions of the Statute of the Association” especially for failing to convey board meeting since coming on board.
They accused him of running the Association as his personal property as he has refused to call for a general Congress since they were elected in June 2019.
They also accused him of not carrying other members along in the running of the affairs of the Association citing examples with a few competitions he singlehandedly organized claiming that it was done by the FA after he had initially informed them that it was sponsored by Prof Suleiman Bogoro and one Naval officer.
While reacting on the allegations, Pascal Patrick boasted that nobody can remove him as the Chairman of the Association without following the due process laid down in the Statutes of the Association.
Describing the charges against him as baseless and unfounded stressing that it is the biggest joke of the year.
