Bauchi First Lady visits flood victims in Kirfi, warns against injustice while distributing relief items, commissions children hospital in Alkaleri

Victims of the recent flooding in Kirfi LGA of Bauchi State particularly the women have been advised to conduct themselves in good manner in order to be part of those who will receive the relief items donated by the State government. 
The advice was given by the State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed when she paid a sympathy visit to the area urging those responsible for the distribution of the items to be just and fair when handing over the relief materials to individuals in the camp as a succour for all the victims.
The First lady stated this while addressing the flood victims mainly women and children at the primary school arranged as a temporary camp for them.

Aisha Bala Mohammed also observed that one of the problems of women especially in different communities is lack of concentration when Palliative or relief materials are set to be distributed to them, hence the need for them to change and be organize .
Also speaking, the Member representing Kirfi constituency in state House of Assembly, Abdulqadeer Umar Dewu, said that the people of the area are groaning at the moment, adding that “we received some materials as relief from different areas but we need more because of the level of devastation”. 
An Islamic clergy, Imam Abdurrahman Idris during the visit, urged flood victims and people of the area to be patient saying this is the act of God to test people’s faith, noting that prayers is what keep people in focus to appreciate what ever situation people found themselves.
Part of the relief materials handed over at the Kirfi camp which included mats, shoes, blanket, food supplement and cash donation to be shared among the victims at the temporary camp.
Women victims of the flood appealed for individuals, NGO’s,to do more in providing cloth, food items as they are still counting losses. 
In another development, while commissioning Women and Children Hospital, Aisha Bala Mohammed said that the hospital is for the benefits of all the people in Alkaleri particularly women and children to be attended to by qualified Doctors and Nurses .
She maintained that, the hospital structure is part of the gesture through Almuhibbah Foundation to reduce suffering of women and children for medical attention when ever the need arises, pointing out that health is wealth and calle on them to use the advantage of the hospital.
The District head of Pali, Alhaji Abubakar Sambo cautioned pregnant women to attend antenatal care regularly as the maternity hospital is close to their door step now.
