Bauchi first lady’s foundation donates 20-bed capacity primary health center to state government

Dr Aisha Mohammed, wife of the Bauchi state Governor, has handed over a 20-bed capacity primary healthcare centre for women and children to the Bauchi State Government for improved maternal, newborn and child health.
Her Chief Press Secretary, Ms Murjanatu Maidawa, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday, in Bauchi.
Maidawa said that the facility, located in Alkaleri local government area, was constructed and equipped by Al-Muhibbah Foundation., founded by Dr Aisha Mohammed, the governor’s wife.
Almuhibbah Foundation is a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), a pet project of the first lady, working in the thematic areas of Health, Education, Empowerment and Humanitarian assistance.
Maidawa said that the donation was to complement governments’ effort in healthcare delivery in the state.
The facility, which is equipped with delivery suites, consultation rooms, ward and observation room, water and sanitation systems and modern toilets, is called ”First Sarauniyan Bauchi women and children primary health centre, Maidawa added. (NAN)
