In his philanthropist manner Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has purchased and distributed food items worth millions of naira to Christian groups and other beneficiaries across the state and beyond to support and make the Christmas celebration more lively.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Standing Committee for the distribution of the Items, Mr. Abdon Dalla Gin, while briefing journalists at the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Bauchi Tuesday..
He said the gesture was a testament to Governor Mohammed’s administration commitment to fostering inclusivity among diverse religious groups in the state.
Gin confirmed that the distributed items include 77 bulls, 139 rams, over 1,500 80kg bags of rice, and 178 jerricans of vegetable oil.
He commended Governor Mohammed for the kind gesture and urged Christian faithful to reciprocate by supporting the policies and programs of his administration for more peace and better Bauch State.
He said chairmen of the twenty local government areas in the state are complementing the initiative of the Governor by providing additional assistance to Christians in their respective domains.
Mr. Gin called on Christians to use the occasion of the Christmas and New Year celebrations to pray for the continued success of Governor Mohammed-led administration and the overall progress of the state.
