Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed assigns responsibilities to 12 new permanent secretaries

Twelve new permanent secretaries took oath of office and assigned portfolios by Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State. 

Presiding over the oath of office and allegiance at the Government House Bauchi Tuesday, Governor Mohammed said the appointment in this capacity was borne out of the need to fill the gap created by the exit of some retired permanent secretaries in the state civil service.

While charging them to uphold the culture of commitment, dedication and transparency as accounting officers of their respective Ministry, department and agencies, Mohammed stressed that his administration would not in any way condone or tolerate abuse of public office.

Our correspondent reports that Surajo Mohammed Jaja was posted to Ministry of Higher Education, Ibrahim Yusha’u Isah Ministry of Agriculture, Liatu Gayus Ministry of Culture and Tourism,  Muhammed Hamisu Garba, Ministry of Works and Transport and Yakubu Bello Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

While Ibrahim Mato Sulaiman Ministry of Power, Science and Technology, Chiroma Ahmed Malle Ministry of Rural Development and Special Duties, Auwalu Shehu Jalo Civil Service Commission and Samaila Mohammed Ministry of Water Resources.

Others are Shu’aibu Alhaji Muhammed, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Ahmed Ali Ranga Political Research and Economic Affairs S.S.G Office, Hamisu Muhammed Dariya Ministry of Housing and Environment.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees the new Permanent Secretary Political Research and Economic Affairs S.S.G Office Ranga appreciated the Governor for the opportunity accorded to them and assured not only to justify the confidence reposed in them but also be hundred percent loyal and committed to Government of Bauchi State.
