Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed commissions office after receiving APC defectors
By Akanji Alowolodu, Bauchi
Scores of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Awalah area along Bauchi – Kano road in Bauchi metropolis on Sunday, decamped to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State.
The decampees therefore handed over their former APC office to the PDP through the Senior Special Assistant, Youth, Alhaji Bala Saleh Chiroma who led the Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed to officially receive the decampees and the office.
The Governor also commissioned the office to PDP office urging the decampees to go on and educate their other members of the good things about the PDP government in order to get them join the party.
Bala Mohammed commended the decampees for taking the bold steps assuring that his administration will carry every member of the party along adding that they will be treated as full members of the party just as he advised them to get registered and get the membership card from their respective wards.
Spokesperson of the decampees said that they took the decision because of the various developmental projects spread across the state by the PDP-led administration unlike what happened in the past APC led administration.
He added that, they will continue to support the administration to ensure that it succeeded assuring that for them, 2023 as far the Governor is concerned, is a done deal.
