Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, has appealed to judicial arm of government in the state to establish a robust judicial and administrative framework to administer justice that will minimize congestion in correctional centres across the state.
Bala Mohammed made the appeal Sunday, during a Ramadan breakfast with members of the judiciary and Nigeria Bar Association in the state held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Bauchi.
He said to achieve that, his administration will continue to work with the judiciary by creating an enabling environment required for effective and efficient administration of justice.
The governor who was disturbed with increase in the number of gender based violence, crime and criminality as well as other social vices, called on critical stakeholders to join hands in ensuring speedy dispensation of justice.
:I am very excited to host members of the judiciary family today for iftar. I must say on behalf of the Executive , we are enjoying support and collaboration with the other two arms of government which makes it possible for us to do all the developmental projects that we are doing in Bauchi.”
He said the continued understanding and collaboration between the three arms of government in the state will enable the executive provide the needed infrastructure and services to the citizens of the state.
Governor Bala further promised that his leadership of the state will engage members of the Bar in governance to enable them contribute positively towards the advancement of the state especially in the area of judicial system.
“To members of the Bar, I am so much grateful for what you have done to me and I want to tell you that my administration is ready to support eligible candidates amongst you who are qualified for the position of the Senior Advocates of Nigeria just to appreciate what you have done to me.”
In their separate remarks, the State Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar and the Acting Grand Khadi, Khadi Ahmed Liman while appreciating Governor Bala Mohammed for the number of projects executed in the state’s High Court Complex, pledged their unflinching support for the success of his administration.
“Your Excellency, we are much grateful for this honour, in Bauchi we are having a cordial relationship between the three arms of government and as judiciary, we will maintain the tempo. “
Earlier, the Chairman of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Bauchi branch, Barrister Abubakar Abdulhamid acknowledged the foresight of the governor in working in synergy with other arms of government for growth and development of the state.
