Bauchi Governor Mohammed committed to make Yankari Game Reserve one of the best globally

In his administration’s commitment to provide Bauchi State with attractive cultural amenities, Governor Bala Mohammed, has promised to enhance Yankari Game Reserve and Zaranda Hotel to develop human resources, as well make the famous Yankari Game Reserve one of the World Class tourists centres.

Governor Mohammed unfolded this during an unexpected inspection visit to the ongoing rehabilitation projects and facilities at the Game reserve located at Alkaleri Local Government Area, recently where he commended former Governor of the State, Ahmed Adamu Mu’azu for investing so much in transforming the famous Yankari Game Reserve during his administration.

Assuring that as son of the soil after executing developmental projects across the state in the areas of roads, health, education, and of course other infrastructure, “my next target is to transform the famous Yankari Game Reserve and make it functional. As one of the best World Class tourists attractions in Nigeria, thereby attracting tourists across the globe to improve revenue generation in the State”, the governor said.

The Governor expressed worry and attributed the reserves decline on insufficient attention and oversight as well as negligence of the past administrations.
