Governor Bala Mohammed speaks at the flag off

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed has declared that he was not worried nor disturbed that people of Misau LGA did not vote for him in the last 2023 general elections.
The Governor who was speaking in Misau on Monday when he flagged of the construction of a dual carriageway said that issues of party politics are now over, the next thing is governance.
According to him, “We are not doing what we are doing because we want you to praise us, no, we are doing it because it is our responsibility to ensure that we did it for you.”
Mohammed added that, “It is your constitutional rights to vote for the candidates of your choice. You did not vote for us but we will not stop working for you. It is my responsibility to work for you.”
The Governor explained that his administration decided to dualize the road from the AD Rufa’i College of Islamic Legal Studies to Government Secondary School, Misau in order to save innocent lives which are being lost on a daily basis due to the bad condition of the portion of the road.
He added that though a Federal road, his administration took it upon itself to do the road for the good of the people of Bauchi State and by extention, Nigerians who are using the road.
He assured that the project will be completed within 18 dried months calling on the contractor to execute the project according to the specifications and contractual agreement.
The Governor then disclosed that the 7km dual carriageway will cost the sum of over N5b.

Mohammed also assured that his administration will continue to embark on people oriented projects and programmes that have direct bearing on the lives of people.
The Commissioner of Works and Transport, Hon Ibrahim Galadima expressed confidence that the contractor will perform as contained in the contractual agreement and will deliver on scheduled.
The Caretaker Chairman of Misau LGA, thanked the Governor for embarking on the project which he said is very important to the people of the area especially Misau town.
He said that the students of AD Rufa’i College and Government Secondary School will be saved from frequent accidents on the road.
