Bauchi Governor Mohammed sympathizes with families of hunters, Fulanis killed by bandits, donates N95m

The Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, has reiterated the concern of his administration to wipe out crime and criminality across the state by seriously partnering with all security apparatus.
It also pledged to employ 2100 local vigilante personnel aimed at improving local security across Bauchi State.
Governor Mohammed made the remarks Thursday when he led delegation of top government officials on a condolence visit to sympathize with the communities of Duguri and Duguri Gwana in Alkaleri local government area where bandits killed 23 hunters and other innocent Fulani residents.
Governor Mohammed urged families to remained steadfast and bear the loss with fortitude pledging his administration’s continued commitment to security of lives and properties.
He called on the security chiefs, traditional rulers, traditional title holders and all relevant stakeholders to work in close collaboration to tackle the issue of miscreants to ensure safety in their domains.
The Governor attested that the state government is working in synergy with the office of the National Security Adviser to get to the genesis of the reemergence of banditry activities in the area.

The Governor donated N95 million to support the bereaved families of the victims and assured that vigilantes will be employed into the state civil service in the next few months.
In their separate remarks, the district head of Duguri, Alhaji Adamu Duguri and the district head of Gwana, Alhaji Ahmed Sani Adamu Jumba commended the state government’s determination in improving community security pledging to complement the state governments efforts to achieve optimum result.
The state Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, explained that under his watch the state Command has intensified community engagement to address communal crisis.
The Bauchi Police boss who was represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, DSP Ahmed Hassan emphasized on the importance of joint operations in combating crime and criminality in the society.
He commended Bauchi State Government under the leadership of Governor Mohammed for working day in day out in collaboration with all security agencies in the state to ensure Peace and stability in the state.
Earlier, the Chairman Alkaleri Local Government Area, Major Garba Hassan Bajama (rtd.) appreciated Governor Mohammed for his concern and swift response to the reemergence of security challenges in the area, which he described as fruitful.
