Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed on Monday, presented brand new official vehicles to the 20 Local Government Caretaker Committee Chairmen.
The official vehicles according to the Governor was to make their work more easier in reaching out to communities in their respective Local Government areas.
Bala Mohammed stated that his administration always recognizes the hard work of local government chairmen in the state hence the need to help them discharge their responsibilities.
Represented by the Secretary to the state government, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, the Governor urged them to serve their people by bringing development and Identifying with them at all times.
Earlier speaking, the state Commissioner for local government and Cheiftancy affairs, Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki said the vehicles were procured to help their LG Chairmen effectively discharge their duties.
In a vote of thanks, the Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Umar Hassan appreciated the gesture and promised to consolidate and complement the governor giant strides.
