Bauchi committed to fight against criminality as sophisticated weapons recovered from kidnappers

Bauchi State Government has pledged its full commitment to providing adequate security for all residents of the state while simultaneously seeking renewed commitment from security agencies to that effect.

Governor Bala Mohammed said there is no hiding place for criminals in Bauchi State, enjoining members of the public to support security agents in those directives.
Governor Mohammed in particular, called on the Nigeria Police Force, Hunters Group of Nigeria, Vigilante, and other security agencies to consolidate on the gains recorded in the fight against crimes, criminality, banditry, and other forms of insecurity across the state.
The assertion was made during the hand over of some ammunition, guns, and other criminal materials over three hundred to the Governor by the leadership of the Nigerian Hunters and forestry security service Bauchi State, Ambassador Umar Shayi, and the Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command, CP Auwal Musa Mohammed.

The said weapons were recovered from Alkaleri and Tafawa Balewa local government areas.
Governor Mohammed acknowledged the sacrifices of the Vigilante groups, Police and other relevant security agencies operating in the state to ensure the safety and security of the state and its residents. He called for the sustenance of these efforts.
The governor informed the heads of the security agencies that areas mostly affected by the activities of suspected bandits and kidnappers are all the local government areas and neighboring states in the Northwestern part of the country.
To facilitate effective security operations across the state, Governor Mohammed mentioned that a Ministry of Internal Security has been created to provide all the needed support in the area.

The governor assured the security agencies that his administration would continue to support the security agencies in the state in combating criminal activities in the state. 
Ambassador Shayi assured the Governor and the entire good people of Bauchi State that his gallantry men will continue to collaborate with other conventional security agencies to combat criminal activities in the state. He appreciates the governor’s support in ensuring that they carry out their activities accordingly. 
The Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed thanked the Governor for his numerous efforts and support, as well as the hunter’s group and other notable security agencies, as well as the traditional rulers, for their respective collaboration towards ensuring that Bauchi citizens enjoy peace.

He called for further collaboration across the security agencies as well as the government of the day.
