Stakeholders in the health sector of bauchi state have been urged to seek for means of avoiding and or minimize duplication in the area of intervention by donor partners in order to have a robust working which will positively impact on quality and effective healthcare service delivery in the state.
The advice was given by the Bauchi State Director of USAID Integrated Health Programme (USAID IHP), Dr Alhassan Siaka during the Pause and Reflect Learning Session for Second Quarter held at the Hazibal Hotel, Bauchi on Wednesday.
He also said there is the need for all the stakeholders to be on the same page and have a common front approach to health issues because that is the only way the set objectives can be achieved which will in turn promote effective healthcare services delivery across the state.
Alhassan Siaka stressed that all the stakeholders must always pause to reflect on the progress made in the previous quarter in other to see areas of strength in service delivery, see areas of challenges in order to be able to plan for the next activities all in the interest of the people which the services are meant for .
The IHP State Director also stressed the importance of accurate data which he said will always assist in the area of effective planning and service delivery adding the without accurate data, it will be difficult to plan actions on service delivery.
He then called on the State to show more commitment to collaboration that is aimed at increasing uptake of health services in all the facilities across the state particularly at the primary healthcare deliver levels where a large number of the people are living and required effective healthcare services.
Alhassan Siaka then urged the participants and other partners to be free and discuss the issues in order to come out with workable strategies to achieve the set objectives during the next quarter which runs from April to June 2023.
