Bauchi NIPR holds summit on national integration, peace

Plans are on the way by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Bauchi State Chapter to hold Consultative Forum for Citizens Summit for National Integration, Peace and Security in the State.
To this end, the Chapter has set up a Committee to organize the Consultative Forum in Bauchi in consultation with other professional bodies and stakeholders.
Inaugurating the Committee, the Chairman of the Chapter, Alhaji Kabir Ali Kobi said, the initiation of the project by NIPR was in response to the growing concerns for the security and unity of the country.
Alhaji Kobi therefore said, the summit is aimed at providing credible platform for initiating a veritable process for national cohesion, peace building and reconciliation.
He changed members to use their wealth of experience in ensuring the success of the Forum in the State.
Responding, the Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Mohd Inuwa Bello assured that members of the Committee would work based on terms of reference given to the Committee.
He pleaged to come out with a blueprint as a position paper at the end of the Committee’s assignment.
The Committee has Alhaji Mohd Inuwa Bello, a retired Permanent Secretary as Chairman with Comrade Abdullahi Yalwa of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAP) as Co-Chairman while Tanimu Ibrahim Gambo of Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi will serve as Secretary of the Committee.
