Bauchi State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has declared that it has become pertinent for it to join the ongoing debate on the state of the nation in order to be part of the solution to the myriad of the problems.
The declaration was made by the Chairman, Publicity Committee of theNational Integration, Peace and Security Summit, organised by the Nigeria NIPR, Bauchi Chapter, Nuru Yusuf Kobi, on Monday while addressing the press on the programme.
He said that it has become pertinent for the Institute to convene a national summit on national integration and peaceful coexistence ahead of the 2023 general elections.
He further said that the Institute has a mandate to organise the summit in its zone and region for aggregate resolution for the National body because it believed that the citizens needed to unite and secure.
According to him, “We have brought experts from different aspects of life to proffer solutions to the myriad of challenges facing us as a country. We are doing this summit in all our zones, our recommendations and resolutions will be forwarded to our national body.”
Nuru Yusuf Kobi said that, Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir and the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Prof Suleiman Bogoro will serve as Guest of Honour and keynote speaker at a summit on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Emir of Bauchi, Alh. Rilwanu Adamu Suleiman will be the Royal Father at the event while Ambassador Jibrin Dada Chinade will chair the event on March 3, 2022.
Also, Bauchi State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Umar Sai’du commended the Institute for organising the event, saying that it has become necessary for the nation to be more united. Umar assured the NIPR of the support and participation of his members at the summit.
