Bauchi NUJ constitutes 7 member constitution review committee

Bauchi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has constituted a seven member constitutional review committee to collect inputs from chapels and stakeholders for onward submission to the main committee set up by the National Secretariat of the NUJ.
According to a statement issued by the State Secretary of the union, Isah Garba Gadau, the committee is to be headed by a former council chairman, Mohammed Sani Mohammed while Umar Mohammed Shira is to serve as secretary.
Other members of the constitutional review committee include, Mrs. Fibi Kafi, Barrister Amina Yahaya, Ishola Michael Adeyemi, Haruna Babale and Obed Hassan.
The Committee is to request and collect Memoranda from Members of the Union and interested stakeholders in respect to the proposed Review of the Constitution as the position of the Bauchi council.
The committee will be inaugurated on Friday 12th November, 2021 by 11am at the NUJ Secretariat while all the State Executive Committee members of the union are expected to be in attendance.
