Bauchi PDP expels Jungudo, caretaker chairman loyal to Wike, ‘they’re jokers’, expelled faction members fire back

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Jama’are Local Government Area of Bauchi State has announced the expulsion of Hon. Haruna Muhammad Jungudo (former candidate for the Federal House of Representatives, Jama’are/Itas-Gadau constituency in the 2023 election) from the party with immediate effect for anti-party activities.

The announcement was contained in a communique following the meeting held on the indiscipline of Hon Haruna Muhammad Jungudo towards the PDP.

The communique reads: “We, the leaders of this great party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of Jama’are “A” Ward held an emergency meeting, Monday, 8th December 2025, to deliberate on complaints and petitions raised by party members and supporters concerning the conduct of Hon. Haruna Muhammad Jungudo (former candidate for the Federal House of Representatives, Jama’are/Itas-Gadau constituency in the 2023 election).”

It also contained,”After a thorough review and investigation of the numerous complaints and reports received from loyal members and stakeholders of the PDP, we found the allegations to be credible and consistent with his recent actions.”

Giving summary of findings/offences committed, it states that there was ailure to attend party meetings and activities since the party’s loss in the 2023 general election, engaging in verbal attacks and disrespectful comments against party members and leaders in Jama’are Local Government and open confrontation and disobedience toward the PDP government at the Bauchi State level.

Others are failure to support and participate in community and political activities during the 2023 election period, thereby abandoning party loyalists who suffered during that time and making moves to take over the leadership position of the PDP at the state level through the faction of expelled members, without due recognition from the legitimate party structure.

“These actions clearly constitute gross misconduct, disloyalty, and anti-party behavior, which violate the constitution and ethics of the PDP,” It stated.

The PDP then resolved that, “In view of the above, and after careful deliberation, the Executive members of Jama’are “A” Ward PDP hereby announce the expulsion of Hon. Haruna Muhammad Jungudo from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect, effective from Monday, 8th December 2025.”

It stressed,”We wish him well in his future endeavors, and may Allah guide him on the path he chooses.”

Recall that Hon Muhammad Jungudo, was recently announced as the Caretaker Committee Chairman for Bauchi State PDP by the faction loyal to FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

While responding to the development, the Secretary of the Bauchi State PDP Caretaker Conmittee, Alhaji Safiyanu Zubairu said, ”I do not want to dignify them by giving any response to what they describe as expulsion of someone who has since been appointed as the PDP Chairman Bauchi state Caretaker Committee following the National Executive Committee Resolution that dissolved the entire Bauchi State Party Excos and Expelled Governor Bala Mohammed from the Party at its 103 Meeting held at Wadata Plaza Abuja on the 18th of Nov 2025.”

He added,”Why should we respond to this group of “Food is Ready Politicians?” Assuming that they even have the legitimacy to carry out this expulsion, ask them if they have complied with Chapter 10 Article 57 (1,2,3,4,5 and 6) of the PDP constitution 2017 as amended?”.

He added, “Ask them if as at the time of their election as ward, local government and state executives they did not violate Article 48(1) of the PDP constitution. All decisions taken by the entire Bauchi State PDP Excos from State down to Ward level from the period of their election to the point of their dissolution by NEC is complete nullity and a waste of time for the entire PDP family in the state.”

According to him,”Take them to court now they will begin to cry and blame our National Leader HE Barrister E. N Wike or APC.”

He added that, “This is how their paymasters went and conducted an illegal Amala Carnival in Ibadan Oyo State which they described as convention in clear disrespect and disregard for valid and subsisting Court orders.”

“I call on all party faithfuls to remain calm as the State Chairman, Hon Jungudo Haruna Mohammed and his Committee members are preparing to address the public on developments and plans within the party in the state,” he added.

He concluded that, “If they have senses they should be wondering why is the Governor looking for asylum in PRP?
