Bauchi relative peace: Police commissioner implores stakeholders collaboration to sustain tempo

The new Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command, Sylvester Abiodun Alabi have sued for the collaboration of stakeholders to retain the relative peace in the state.

He made this known recently when members of Nigeria Hotel Association, Bauchi State Chapter paid him a courtsy visit.

CP Sylvester Alabi submitted that the Police cannot win war against crime alone, unless critical stakeholders are involved.

“We need all stakeholders to overcome every form of crimes in Bauchi State as the Police cannot do it alone.

“If you don’t give us your support, it will be hard for us to contend squarely every form of crimes still witnessed in the state.

“My few weeks here showed me that the issue of rape is prevalent and in dealing with it and any other, I want all of you to be actively involved directly or in directly,

“In our own part, we will leave no stone unturned untill these crimes are reduced to the barest minimum because when there is peace you can do your businesses smoothly”, he said.

Earlier, the National President Nigeria hotel Association, and Bauchi State Chapter His Highness Eze Patrick Anyanwu said that Bauchi State is for now the most peaceful in the entire North East.

He added that businesses flourish where there is peace and investors place premium on it before pouring their money, hence the need to sustain the relative peace.

“Bauchi State is not too industrilised area, but we commend what the Governor is doing especially in the area of infrastructure,

The next important thing to do is maintaing improving upon the relative peace we already have because those are the things that make investors comfortable to pour their money”, he said.

Sylvester Biodun Alabi assumed office on March 8, 2021, and many are optimisitic that he will consolidate on the efforts of the immediate past Police Commissioner Tanko Jimeta in reducing crimes and criminalities in Bauchi State.
