Bauchi Reps Member, Yusuf distributes N1b empowerment support to constituents

Empowerment items worth over N1billion were on Monday, distributed to Constituents of Alkaleri/Kirfi Federal Constituency of Bauchi State by the Member of House of Representatives representing the area, Alhaji Kabiru Yusuf (AKY Makaman Duguri).
The empowerment programme support was aimed at providing the beneficiaries with sources of livelihoods in order to make them self-employed and employers of labour within their various communities.
The Federal Lawmaker flagged off the mega empowerment programme to his constituents with the sole aim of improving their economic status.
While addressing the crowd of supporters in Bauchi, Alhaji Yusuf said that the items distributed included 20 vehicles which can be used as commercial, 150 motorcycles as commercial, 100 sewing machines, 200 water pump machines for irrigation farming, 100 wheelchairs for PWDs and N200 million cash.
He explained that beneficiaries of the mega empowerment programme included party officials from Wards to Local Government levels, APC stakeholders from Alkaleri/Kirfi, youths and women groups.
Other beneficiaries are the elderly, people with special needs as well as other supporters that contributed to his political journey so far.
The Lawmaker, called on the beneficiaries to utilise, properly, what was given to them for the economic development of the two Local Government Areas that make up the Federal Constituency, Bauchi state and Nigeria as a whole.
He appealed to members of his constituency who could not find their names on the distribution list this time, to exercise patience as more empowerment programmes are on the pipeline.
Also speaking, APC Chairman Bauchi state, Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde, praised the developmental strides of the Lawmaker, saying that was the sixth time he was attending empowerment programmes in two years stewardship of AKY Makama.
On their parts, Chairmen, APC stakeholders in Alkaleri local government, Alhaji Adamu Umar Gokaru and his Kirfi counterpart, Barrister Yakubu Yakubu Kirfi said that, no Lawmaker in the history of Alkaleri-Kirfi had preformed more than Makama, and appealed to him to maintain the momentum.
Some of the beneficiaries spoken to, Alhaji Iliya Natsira, Hajiya Lami, Dan Malikin Bara, amongst others, thanked AKY Makama for the gesture and promised to continue supporting as well as mobilizing people ahead of the 2027 elections.
