Sports writers in Bauchi have compliant with the SWAN National Secretariat directives to organize a special player on Friday for the success and hitch free 60th anniversary celebration scheduled for Abuja from 29th-31st October 2025.
The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria mobilized members at the late Abubakar Umar State Secretariat Friday Mosque, where the Chief Imam, Mallam Abubakar Muhammadu, called on sports writers in Nigeria to uphold spirit of justice and fairness in their reportage.
Mallam Abubakar offered prayers for unity and understanding among members of the association, urging them to always put Allah first in the discharge of their duties. The Imam also prayed for the success and hich free of the 60th anniversary celebration.
The special prayer session was attended by the former Deputy National President and current Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi State Council, Umar Sa’idu, SWAN National Ex-officio Usman Abbas Shehu, SWAN Chairman, Bala Bawaji, and other members of the association.
