Security agencies in Bauchi State have mourned the passing away of Nigeria Custom Area Comptroller Haruna Danlami who foresaw Bauchi and Gombe before his demise.
Representing other security agencies, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Commander and Federal Road Safety Corps Commandant in the state respectively in a condolence visit to the Zone D comptroller hailed the doggedness of the deceased Area Comptroller.
The state Federal Road Safety Corps Commandant Yusuf Abdullahi said the deceased custom comptroller has been a strong pillar in moving not just the custom forward but also the security architecture of the state.
“Normally, we as serving Chief are always together and share intelligence and he has been a strong pillar in moving not just the custom section forward, but the entire security in Bauchi to sustain the peace we are all enjoying”, he said.
On his part, the NDLEA State commander Saidu Mohammed said he hope the next person coming to represent him will fit into his shoe due to his immense contribution in security matters of the state.
“His Death has created a huge vacuum and I hope the next person that will be coming to replace him will do like him or even more”, the NDLEA boss said.
