Bauchi vigilante agency, other security organisations rescue over 1000 cows from thieves, kidnappers

In a move to checkmate all forms of terrorism and crimes, the Bauchi State Vigilante and Youth Empowerment Agency, has successfully rescued over 1000 cows from the thieves and kidnappers during raids to the hideouts at Sabon-Gida and Mansur which share boundaries with Gambo Deru in Taraba State.
The Commander-General of the agency, Ambassador Umar Shayi made this known and also sent his condolences to the gallant men from the agency who lost their lives while fighting kidnappers.
He offered prayers for the deceased families and associates and asked Allah to forgive their shortcomings.
The decease were Masa’udu Baka of Alkaleri Local Government Area and Sha’aban Abdullahi who were since buried in accordance with Islamic rites.

Ambassador Shayi equally pointed out the government’s readiness and absolute dedication towards total elimination of all kidnappers and crimes in Bauchi State aimed at bringing lasting peace and prosperity across the state.
However, he noted a Joint Security Force to include Nigerian Police, Bauchi Command, Army, Nigerian Civil Defence Corps, Bauchi State Vigilance Service and other security apparatus was established to ensure a protection of lives, properties and flush out bandits in all the flash points across communities in Bauchi State.
The Chairman of Alkaleri Local Government Council, Hon. Garba Hassan Bajama emphasised that security is everybody’s business, noting that every one must be involved.
Hon. Bajama reiterated his local government’s readiness to facilitate the security and urged traditional, religious leaders and community members at Gwana District to aid the security operation.
The District Head of Gwana who is the Sardaunan Bauchi, Alhaji Ahmed Sani Adamu Jumba appreciated the multi-faceted approach of the Governor in fighting criminal activities in his domain.
The District Head described emerging insecurity in Gwana as a sabotage to Bauchi State development drive, expressing unwavering support of his community to achieve a government goal.
