Bogoro LGC Chairman, Iliya Habila pesents drugs to the health facilities

In its resolve to boost healthcare delivery services, Bogoro LGC has donated drugs to some health facilities to assist them meet the needs of of people on healthcare delivery.
This is the third time the Council is presenting drugs to its health facilities across the Local government.
While handing over the drugs, Executive Chairman of Bogoro LGC, Hon Iliya Habila said that it was to compliment the ones being delivered by the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency (BAPHCDA).
According to him, “We also rehabilitated the Paap-Dalanga Primary Health Centre which serves both residents of the communities and patients on transit because of its location on the busy Kabwir-Bauchi road.
He also said that, “We have also sponsored our health personnel for training to keep them abreast with modern trends in healthcare delivery, while all immunisation and other health related days have been religiously observed in the local government to ensure that we also key in to the programmes and policies of the Federal and state governments as well as those of other international partners.

“We have also ensured that we carry our youths along through empowerment as involvement in all activities of the Local government. We have rehabilitated and we are still rehabilitating water schemes across the 13 wards of the Local Government, assisted farmers with inputs while assisting our people who had community projects”, he added.
Iliya Habila added that, “Presently, we have embarked on the following projects: drilling of boreholes in Maryam Giji, Kijim-Boi, our newly proposed Animal market around Kalambu-Bogoro junction, while as I speak, the drillers are in Bar and Gwarangah” .
“We will also drill boreholes in Murai and Ungwan Waje villages. We have purchased a piece of land for the Animal market and soon we will open the market. We are also renovating blocks of classrooms in Gyara, Molmol, Gizaki, Vingham, while we are completing a block of classroom started in Bazanshi Giji. Another block of office at the Local Education Authority (LEA) that was in a state of dilapidation is also being renovated”, he added.
The Council Chairman added that, “We have also started renovation work of one market stall each at Gobbiya and Boi markets. We have also awarded contract for the improvement of the Bogoro-Project-Yola road and if not for the heavy rains being recorded now, work would have been advanced” .
According to him, “We have also awarded contract for the grading of a road in Lafiyan Sara, culvert in Bangram-Gamu road” .
He then emphasized that, “All these projects were approved by the Council before we sent to the Governor for approval and each ward has been taken care of with at least one project to ensure fairness” .
The Council Chairman stressed that, “Never in the history of this Local Government have we had an all-inclusive representation than now among the three Village Areas. This is in line with the policy of our Governor who has carried all tribes along in the scheme of things” .
He then assured that,, “We will continue to ensure that all sections of our Local Government are carried alone in the affairs of the Local Government” .
Iliya Habila then urged all the citizens to ensure that they obtained their voters cards before the dateline given so that, “we will exercise our franchise in the 2023 Elections, most especially the need for the re-election of our performing governor for another four years of development” .
“I thank you all for the support and cooperation you have given us here to ensure that we serve you. We look for more of such support for the development of our Local Government”, he concluded.
