Dr. Paul Angya
Dr. Paul Angya’s ambition to succeed Governor Samuel Ortom come 2023 has received a big boost as the leadership of Jechira Students Association (JESA) endorsed the former Director General of Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) to lead the state in the capacity of governor.
The students association made its position known at the hometown of Dr. Angya in Tse Angya, Ute, Vandeikya Local Government Area, where the leadership had a meeting with the Angya Campaign Team.
Through its president, Christian Yachiv, who was in company of
Zege M. Kenneth, Senate President, Orbum Solomon, Assistant Secretary, Cephas Msughter Martins, in charge of media,
Queen Sandra Torkwase and many others, the union maintained that Angya’s rich profile makes him the best hand that can give Benue people transparent and accountable governance. The comrades said they are particularly impressed by his enormous achievements during his stewardship as the Director General of SON and reckoned him to use his wealth of experience to bring standards in the governance of Benue State.
Responding, Dr. Paul Angya appreciated the students body for the bold decision to identify with his campaign team, saying global standards will be adhered to in the implementation of government policies and solving complex issues for the betterment of the lives of the citizenry. He further urged them to also play their roles in ensuring the success of the Jechira Gubernatorial Movement.
