Endemic corruption fostered on the country by both All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party-led governments for the past two decades, was responsible for the many ills it is facing currently.
This was the possible of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
He told crowd of supporters and party faithful at the north central zonal rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State, that the two major political parties’ leadership had run the country aground by pilfering it’s commonwealth and diverting same into their private pockets.
He said Nigerians cannot further mortgage their future and those of generations unborn by trusting any of the two parties with power come February 2023.
He urged Nigerians to rather give the NNPP the opportunity to navigate the country through it’s many challenges brought about by many years of maladministration.
The former Kano State Governor and ex minister of defense said among all the political parties angling for the presidency ahead of the 2023 general elections, NNPP has the best pro-people manifesto to steer the country on the path of development and growth.
” I’m therefore calling on all of you to vote out APC and PDP because they mastermind all the problems you are experiencing now.
” We have took our time to look into the country’s problems with a view to finding permanent solutions to each of the challenges confronting it if you give me the opportunity to lead you,” he noted.
He promised to make education affordable and accessible to both children of the rich and poor to compete side-by-side.
He also promised to diversify the country’s economy through agriculture and solid minerals among other initiatives.
