Bogoro council chairman in Bauchi pledges support to community that embarks on self-help project

Executive Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Mr iliya habila has pledged to support communities that embark on self help projects in order to encourage them to do more. 
The Council Chairman made the pledge when he donated chairs to Angwan Waje primary school in Gambar ward on Monday commending the community for supporting government’s efforts in the education sector. 

Iliya Habila said that, “Today, I have the privilege to be hosted by Ungwan Waje (Dlassth) Community in Gambar Ward of Bogoro LGA of Bauchi state during a visit. I am very happy to be associated with your community efforts”.

During the presentation of the chairs, the chairman promised that he will renovate the school as part of his modest appreciation for the effort made so far made by the community stressing that governance is all about collaboration. 
The Council Boss said that, “I hereby present chairs  made by the community with support from the Local Government to the school in the community” . 
He also said that, “The entire community was happy and appreciative of our modest assistance to the school, especially the visit which they said no elected representative has ever done that since the school was established in 1975” . 
“We will rehabilitate some classrooms there as our modest appreciation for the communal spirit of the people. We will support any community that embarks on self help project. The turn out was massive just as the reception was warm”, Habila narrated. 
Leader of the community while thanking the Chairman and his Council for supporting their efforts assured that they are ready to do more in order to support government efforts as contained in a statement by Gomna James, Information officer, Bogoro LGA.
