Bogoro local government chairman in Bauchi offers free medical outreach to celebrate one year in office

The Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Iliya Habila has offered free medical outreach to people of the area as he marks one year anniversary in office.
While thanking the God for His faithfulness and love, Iliya Habila stated that he chose to offer free medical outreach to make health care accessible to his people.
He revealed that the free medical outreach was in collaboration with Rev. Sister Josephine Ogbonna from OLA Clinic, Tafawa Balewa designed to provide free medical services to those with health challenges in the local government area.
Iliya Habila also used the period to appreciate the good people of Bogoro for their enduring support and cooperation throughout his one year in office.
He emphasized that his administration will prioritize the provisions of health care services, quality education, safe drinking water and agricultural development.
While itemizing his administration’s achievement for the past one year which included the provisions of boreholes in many communities, construction of market stalls in Bazanshi and Gobbiya, provision of drugs to health care facilities, financial assistance to youth and women, the chairman reiterated his commitment to making Bogoro LGA better than he met it.
Iliya Habila also disclosed that his next agenda is to ensure that people`s oriented projects are executed with a view to improve the wellbeing of the good people of Bogoro in the year ahead.
Earlier, the Director Primary Health Care, Mr. Iliya Daniel Ishaku commended the Chairman for initiating the free medical outreach targeting the diabetic patients describing it as timely.
While congratulating the Chairman for his one year in office, Mr. Iliya Daniel employed the people with health challenges to take advantage of the free medical outreach to discover their sugar level.
In an opening remarks, Rev. Josephine Ogbona, aNurse from Our Lady of Apostle (OLA), Tafawa Balewa expresses gratitude to the chairman for making the medical outreach a success.
Rev. Ogbona observed that there is an increasing rate of diabetic today and there is a need for people to regularly check their sugar level with the aim to treat it.
The clergy woman promised that she will work together with the Executive chairman of Bogoro LGA in the area of health care delivery as contained in a statement by Gomna James, Information Officer, Bogoro LGA.
