Bogoro people in Bauchi charged to always embrace peace, promote peaceful coexistence

Christians in Bogoro local government area of Bauchi State have been enjoined to remain good examples of peace by embracing other people resident in the area despite been in the majority. 
The call was made by the Executive Chairman of Bogoro LGC, Hon Iliya Habila while speaking at the 2021 Christmas Carol with the theme: ‘Year of Gratitude, Grace and Growth’ held at the lectures theater of NOUN in Bogoro on Monday. 
He said that, “ours is the only LGA in Bauchi state that has 98 percent of Christians, we must therefore do things always that are Godly so that others will copy from us. We cannot afford to live a recklessness live that will bring disrepute to the name of God and ridicule us a people”. 
The Council Boss added that, “As the light of God, we must shine for others to see. We should be mindful that people are looking at us, noticing what we are doing in order to assess us as a people. We must therefore watch our behaviors and relationships”. 
Iliya Habila then charged the people to show love during the festivities by sharing what they have with the needy because according to him, that is the spirit of Christmas and the reason for the season assuring them that his Council will remain responsive to their yearnings and aspirations. 
He also charged youths in the area to shun social vices bedeviling the country now saying that they should do things that will promote peace and peaceful co-existence irrespective of the ethno-religious differences. 
Also speaking, Executive Chairman of Tafawa Balewa LGC, Daniel Mazadu stressed that Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa LGAs are the same and inhabited by Sayawa people who are in the majority and must therefore relate together as one nation. 
He also charged the people of Bogoro LGA to strive to live in peace with other people resident in the area saying that without peace no meaningful development can take place urging for support to the government at all the time. 
The Tafawa Balewa LGC Boss appealed for decent celebration of the Christmas season saying that, “don’t forget that early January, 2022, your children will go back to school and you have to pay school fees and other things for the school”.
