Boko Haram: Nigeria Army arrests logistics suppliers’ vehicles containing fish, grains, spare parts, others in Sambisa Forest

The Nigerian Army, 7 Div Maimalari Cantonment Maiduguri,has arrested 6 Boko Haram Logistics Suppliers in possession of food items and other goods belonging to Islamic State of West African Province,ISWAP, to supply to Boko Haram Insurgents in the Sambisa Forest.
This was as a result of credible intelligence report uncovered by security operatives,which led to the arrest and  interception of the suppliers and vehicles at different locations and dates  which  revealed that three out of the six drivers were confirmed as Boko Haram Logistics Suppliers while the remaining three suspects under the custody of the army are still being investigated.
Acting  General Officer Commanding (GOC). 7 Division, Brigadier General Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim, while addressing journalists,Saturday,at the destruction site at Almajiri IDPs Camp, described the foodstuffs and goods as contraband thereby setting them ablaze.
He said the six vehicles were loaded with Jerry cans of fuel, bags of fish, grains, bread ,pure water, mattresses, spare parts of motor cycles and vehicles among others.
The intercepted vehicles included,4 Bedford vans/pick ups and 2 Peugeot station wagons,marked XA 307 ZNG Taraba,XB 554 DTR Yobe, AY 134 SMK Lagos, and AA 65 MNG Borno.
Others are Peugeot Station wagon AE 83 GUB Borno and  AA 190 DAM, Borno.
The GOC added that investigation was still ongoing in the three drivers but their goods and vehicles. have to be destroyed.
He warned  perpetrators to desist from such illegal  acts or get arrested,even as investigation is still ongoing by the Nigerian Army as efforts are in full gear to uncover all those involved or dealing with the supplies of LOGISTICS to the Boko Haram Insurgents while soliciting for the support and cooperation of the public in the fight against the Insurgents.
