Borno government procures earth-moving equipments for road construction at N1.4b

Borno State Government has procured 18 heavy duty road construction machines worth N1.4 billion to enhance the capacity of engineers engaged in the infrastructural development sector in the state.
On a visit to the asphalt factory,monday,located along Bama road,the Governor also took time to inspect the newly acquired equipment and
directed for their immediate deployment to accelerate ongoing construction works at different locations across the state.
Our correspondent gathered that,the equipment included,four excavators, two pilling machines, eight driving rollers, graders and two bulldozers.
Governor Zulum used the occasion to charge the state Ministry of Works to ensure proper maintenance of the equipment.
On site to receive the GOVERNOR,was the Commissioner for works, Arch. Yerima Saleh, who told him that, the newly acquired machines would significantly enhance capacity of engineers both at the ministry and at the state Road Maintenance Agency to deliver ongoing projects on time without compromising quality; noting that the equipment are suitable for high level infrastructure.
