The Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, has resigned from the position with immediate effect.
The hand-written letter on the letter-headed paper of the Office of the Speaker, dated Sunday, 24th August, 2025, was addressed to the Clerk.
“This was done in good faith and in the best interest of the state,” Dajoh said, in the letter exclusively obtained by Apex News Exclusive.
He pointed out: “I remain committed to my duties as a legislator and representative of Gboko West State Constituency.”
Dajoh appreciated his colleagues for giving him the opportunity to be “first among equals.”
